Dr. Thomas Su is a board-certified dermatologist working in the city of Glendale for the past 5 years. Dr. Su specializes in General Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, with specific interest in skin cancer detection, prevention, and treatment.
Dr. Su grew up in Southern California and went to Rosemead High School where he was Captain of the tennis team, the Academic Decathlon team leader, and graduated as Valedictorian. He went to college locally at UCLA, where he majored in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and was involved in various community services organizations, including the Hunger Project, Unicamp, and the Community Service Commission. In 1996, he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Su then enrolled in the combined MD/PhD program at UCLA, where he completed his PhD in Molecular Biology, specifically doing cutting edge biomedical research in immunology and cancer biology. In 2004, Dr. Su received his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine where he received various letters of distinction and several NIH research awards.
Due to his specific interest and dedication to cancer patients, Dr. Su went on to train in a Medical Internship in New York at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
After his stint on the east coast, Dr. Su returned to UCLA, where he completed his dermatology training as a STAR Resident in Dermatology. Following his residency, Dr. Su remained on faculty at UCLA as a Clinical Instructor, teaching dermatology to medical students and residents.
In addition, Dr. Su completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the California Institute of Technology, in Pasadena, CA, where he trained under the mentorship of Dr. David Baltimore, a Nobel laureate and former President of Caltech. During this time, Dr. Su investigated novel therapies for melanoma and studied the role of ultraviolet light on skin cancer progression. Every day in his dermatology practice, Dr. Su draws upon his expertise in immunology and skin cancer biology to give the most optimal care to his patients.
In 2009, Dr. Su transitioned from the university setting into private practice, caring for patients in the city of Glendale. Over the past 5 years, Dr. Su has dedicated himself to taking care of his patients in a caring, intellectual, and skillful manner. In addition, his passion for teaching is still evident as he continues to teach dermatology to medical students and residents at both the UCLA School of Medicine and the USC Keck School of Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Su enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and playing with his two young boys. His hobbies include tennis, basketball, surfing, and traveling.

Dr. Connie Chang is a board-certified dermatologist caring for patients in Arcadia, Pasadena, and the surrounding communities for the past 6 years. Dr. Chang specializes in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology.
Dr. Chang grew up in Texas, in the town of Arlington, where she graduated as valedictorian of Sam Bowie High School. Dr. Chang went on to college on a full scholarship to the University of Texas (UT), in Austin. She studied Biology and quickly graduated college with honors, in only 3 years.
With her compassion for patients and love of science, Dr. Chang pursued a career in medicine, following the footsteps of her three older siblings, who are physicians as well. Dr. Chang proceeded to stay local in Texas and enrolled in medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, in Galveston. Dr. Chang graduated medical school with AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha) honors, one of the highest honors bestowed to medical school graduates.
Dr. Chang moved out west for her dermatology training, completing her Dermatology Residency at the Loma Linda Medical Center, in Loma Linda, CA. During her residency, Dr. Chang engaged in several research projects in dermatology, authoring various peer-reviewed articles in dermatology. Dr. Chang was also a Chief Resident, where she taught the intricacies and nuances of dermatology to junior residents and medical students.
Since 2008, Dr. Chang has been caring for her patients in a compassionate, thoughtful, and thorough manner. She has a loyal patient following in the Arcadia and Pasadena areas, and we are thrilled to have her join our practice in the Glendale, La Crescenta, La Canada communities.
In her spare time, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys. She is an avid reader and also enjoys running and gardening.

Dr. Michael Novak has been practicing Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery in Glendale for over 35 years. Dr. Novak specializes in skin cancer detection and screening.
He came here directly from USC where he was awarded a Fellowship from the National Institute of Mental Health after finishing his Dermatologic residency at the UCLA-VA Wadsworth Hospital.
Dr. Novak is a Fellow of the International Society of Dermatologic Surgery and a Fellow of the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.
He is on active staff at the Glendale Memorial Hospital, Glendale Adventist Medical Center and Verdugo Hills Hospital.
Dr. Novak's very strong interest has been the teaching of prevention of skin cancer and melanoma. He has lectured and has written extensively on this topic because he is certain that it saves lives. In his practice, his main focus is on skin exams for growths, cancers and moles. His emphasis is educating patients on the prevention of melanoma and his removal of atypical moles after a skin exam.
Dr. Novak is an avid champion for animals; in particular dogs. He has two German Shepherds himself. He donated Bullet Proof vests for the K-9 Unit of the Glendale Police Department and 51 animal oxygen masks (3 for each of the 17 fire trucks) for the Glendale Fire Department to aid in the rescue of animals affected by fire and smoke inhalation. He supports the ASPCA and the Pasadena Humane Society on a regular basis to help provide food and facilitate adoptions.
Because he is an athlete (he runs 4 miles every morning), he supports the athletes at the Glendale Community College. He recently donated uniforms to the Women's Track and Field Team, the 2009 Western State Conference Champions.
His greatest passion is knowing when he has found an early melanoma, atypical mole or skin cancer at a time when the patient can be treated successfully!

Dr. Jane Wada has been practicing Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery in the Montrose, La Crescenta, La Canada area for over 30 years.
Dr. Wada is on active staff at the Glendale Adventist Medical Center and USC-Verdugo Hills Hospital.
Dr. Wada is highly experienced in general dermatology, treating a broad range of skin conditions, from skin cancer detection, eczema and psoriasis, and cosmetic treatments. Dr. Wada has a loyal patient following in the Montrose, Glendale, La Crescenta, La Canada communities, and we are thrilled that she has joined our team of dermatologists at Verdugo Dermatology.
In her spare time, Dr. Wada enjoys spending time with her family. She is also very involved with her church, and has volunteered in various philanthropic activities. Most recently, Dr. Wada flew to Berlin, Germany to aid the Syrian refugees.
